Egg Fight serves as the creative home for Pat Mills & Alyson Richards' growing slate of television projects, including a half-hour comedy series currently in development with Bell Media.
Their work skews sharp, resonant and comedic - but they'll take on any story worth telling. Collectively their projects have screened at TIFF and Sundance, and landed on Netflix, Hulu, Showtime and Crave.

Previously, Pat and Alyson collaborated on three feature films: THE RETREAT (written/produced by Alyson/directed by Pat) was a Globe and Mail Critics pick and sold to Showtime/Hulu in the U.S; DON'T TALK TO IRENE featuring Geena Davis (written and directed by Pat/produced by Alyson) premiered at TIFF and won both the audience and jury award at Austin Film Festival. GUIDANCE (written/directed by Pat/produced by Alyson) premiered at TIFF, was a New York Times Critic Pick and sold to Netflix.
Winner of the Austin Screenwriting Competition's Best Comedy Feature and listed as one of MovieMaker's 25 Screenwriters to Watch, Pat is a two-time WGC Screenwriting Award and 3-time DGC Award nominee. In addition to features, TV directing credits include RUN THE BURBS, a HERITAGE MINUTE about trans pioneer/musician Jackie Shane, the drag queen comedy series QUEENS, and THE CHRISTMAS SETUP starring Fran Drescher, which was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award and two Canadian Screen Awards.
As a creative producer, Alyson has been involved in over 100 episodes of television and produced films that have played at festivals around the world including Sundance, TIFF, Sitges, Fantasia, Fantastic Fest, Locarno Film Festival, NewFest, Frameline and Inside Out. She won a Canadian Screen Award in 2025 for producing the best comedy series and won a DGC award for directing I WAS HERE in 2024. She was nominated for a 2025 DGC award for her work directing the series CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING.
